Understanding the delivery site-time allowance.
Every planned haul includes reasonable time for safe pickup and placement. Preparing the site before the truck arrives helps keep the delivery on schedule and avoids additional verified wait-time charges.

45 minutes at pickup + 45 minutes at delivery
No customer time entry is required while building the online estimate. The included allowance is applied automatically.
When can additional wait time apply?
If pickup or delivery is delayed beyond the included allowance by loading, unloading, blocked access, unsuitable ground, unavailable site contacts or other customer/site conditions, the verified extra time may be added to the final invoice. Additional time is recorded and reviewed by authorized Derkson staff, then prorated by the minute using the current hourly wait-time rate.
How to help the delivery stay on schedule
- Keep the truck approach and placement area clear.
- Confirm the container is ready and accessible at pickup.
- Prepare firm, level bearing points before arrival.
- Confirm door direction and have the site contact available.
- Identify overhead wires, trees, gates, soft ground or tight turns in advance.
The online quote is an estimate. Any verified adjustment is documented before final payment whenever practicable.
